I was wondering what u ppl think of the Diamond Audio Hex S600s's..... and if there are other components out there other than rainbow germs that are better

If theyre 3+ years old the HEXs are pretty decent, anything newer...Ill pass.

I have owned them for a while I would pass on the HEX's.......

They really lack midbass and the tweeter is just so-so -

They were great years ago when LPG made the components but now

its made in China and has since lost its flair........

I would definatly check out Crystal Mobile Sounds SSCS6 comps

they are half the price of the HEX's and are amazing sounding.

Why not the Germs? If not the Germs, how about SLC's? You can probably find Boston Pro's for around the same price as Hex's too.

the HEX's are ok, but their are better. I like them over some of the boston stuff...but then, i love the Z6's. If you could afford them (ebay i think their like 550) they are absolutely the bomb!

I was going to buy the Diamond Audio Hex S600s's, when i did not know anything about car audio and i was a noob, after doing research, and reading threads on this forum and some other forum. I found out that I can spand alot less and get more than what Diamond Audio has to offer. I can pay $200+ for a pair of SLC, and get better SQ than the speakers that cost more.

yea the hex's are still one of the best, just make sure ur install is superb.

people always knock on these speakers as having no midbass, fuk that use a sub for bass. well anways good, clean, clear is what i think about these. sure its not the same as the eton/lpg days, but fukit theres still better out there and hell of lot worse. why dont u try listening to them first.

well, midbass is a bit different from the bass frequency a subwoofer can play at. plus, if youre gonna spend 300 dollars on a set, make it worth it. the hex's price is too steep for its performance.

I had the hex's.They are okay.I wouldn't purchase them again.Unless I found a good deal on some used ones and was doing an entry type set up for someone.They are pretty much as described clear to a certain level,and lack mid bass.

Im going to get my speakers from you, and if im not mistaken you also sell arc audio amps right? if you are ill get the amps too. i was hopping to gwt the Arc Audio SE amps.

I am currently using the Hex's in my car and I really like them. Alot of time was spent on the install and they sound very good. The midbass is not lacking for me. I would say try to to find somewhere to listen to them. They get extremely loud and stay clear while doing so. I am sure there is better out there but I am very happy for now.
