so i was driving the other day, about 3/4 volume, and my amp shuts off, no bass.

get home and its dark, maybe ill look @ it tomorrow (today). I start my car and my headunit goes spazzing out, flickering on and off approx about 6 times before it just stays on. now its working fine, but my amp still wont turn on.

checked my fuses, none blown, havent done anything to my wires ect, since I installed it about 5 months agao so nothing had been touched.

my only thing is maybe my turn on wire somehow got disconnected from my HU.

the turn on is wierd, its one of those thats build into the RCA's so you don't have to run another wire, it comes out in between the left and right RCA.

any thoughts?

if you think it's the remote wire then just get any size wire and run it straight from your power wire to the remote and see if it turns your amp on. either that or dmm the remote wire when your deck is on

does it turn off or just go into protect?
It just turns off, no protect.

Maybe the ground is loose. Mine did that one time. I never touched anything behind mine then all of a sudden nothing would turn on. I redid my HU ground and have been fine ever since.
ill look at the ground, im pretty sure theirs nothing wrong because me and my dad grinded down the paint where the seatbelt connects and make a really good grounding point. but ill check anyway.

Im getting ready to pull the 40A fuse out of the Amp right now, went to walmart highest they carry is 30A so would that be bad to put it into a 40A if thats whats wrong?

anyway bassless is driving me crazy, going on a journey in the cold to find the problem.

alright just got in and its frustrating beyond belief.

all fuses are fine, ground is fine, reconnected power, rem, and ground, you can here the amp make a "tick" sound when i turn on the HU so i know the remote is going there and turning it on.

the light that lights up blue, goes blue, then fades away, and if i turn the amp on again it doesnt even turn blue. only when i turn it on the first time going out to my car is when it goes blue, about an hour apart? kinda wierd.

next step? pissing me the F$%K off.

what amp is it? if it's a big one what eletrical do you have to feed it? it is possible that the voltage dropped to low and it fried. open it up and look

Finally, gosh i fixed it, somehow the fuse was bounced out of place on the distro block, and the output side was not reading any power, put it back in line, tightened her up, good as new //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thanks for input, even though i figured it out.
