What's up guys, drive an 07 toyota tacoma 4 door. was running 2 rockford p2-10's on a Rockford r-500 but recently my system was stolen at my local dealership when it was left unlocked in the parking lot. looking for new a new set up my box has a mounting depth of 5-7/8 and my cubic feet per chamber is .72 looking for tens that will fit my setup and beat a lot harder than the p2's. The only subs i have found that meet my criteria are p3 shallows, kicker cvx 10's and a memphis model that i can't think of off the top of my head. anyone who can help i sure would appreciate it just having no luck trying to find a couple different choices of setups.

The sundown sa-10 is recommended for .75 sealed so it should be fine. Check into the mounting depth. It is to early for me to get into looking that up. Have a good day.

BTW if it limits you terribly on choices. It wouldn't be to hard to put spacers under the seat and raise it 1 or 2" so virtually any small box woofer would fit.

thanks bugflipper that's exactly what i had in mind i just need someway to make a grille for whatever subs i decide to choose because the excursion could and probably will hit the back of my seats

If it will hit the seats it will hit the grill that is touching the seats. You either need to adjust the subs so at full excursion they dont touch, or move the seat. Grills are gay

use MDF rings and raise the grill //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

also I would be going after the dealer for the equipment... they may say they are not responsible but if they did not lock it that falls under negligence which makes them 100% liable....

yea the dealer is going to re amburse me, but yea guys i don't really want to redo my box i'd like to run 10's. i was thinking about making extension brackets for me seets to angle them out and im sure you can find an oversize grille or fab one that doesn't hit the sub, im just in a pickle it ***** having limitations //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

sic, how do they compare to the sa-8's or 10's and i was thinking about re cutting my box for shallow mount 12's but not sure if im better off with standard mount 10's vs shallows

I thought you 4 door truck guys put the subs under the seats in the rear? I have never used a grill. But it looks like if there is enough clearance for the sub, it would hold the seat away from the sub if they were sturdy enough. Subwoofer Grill | Sub Grilles Don't know dude? Think I would raise the seat, make an L shaped box with the one you already have (under and behind seat) and run a single 18 firing up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

thanks for the help guys and flipper you're right it was like that on my titan i had before my tacoma but the tacoma has molded plastic sealed integrated storage boxed under the rear seats so us tacoma guys have to get boxes for the backs of the seats i just want something to out hit my rockford p2's and im happy.
