Design question.

I've built simple sealed enclosures but am having a little trouble figuring out the port length of a new build.

For ported enclosures this is what the manufacturer recommends:

14"H x 16"D x 16"W / 14.05 sq. in. Port Area.

Correct me if I'm wrong, those are inside deminsions im assuming because the recommended sealed volume is 1.62 ft3.

How would I determine the port length?

Looks like it would be fine for a single low excursion cheap 8 or maybe a 10. Use torres box calculator. If this is for a 12, those box recommendations are complete garbage.

Thanks jeff. Looks like I'll have to go against the manufacture specs based on what you said.

The box is for a 12" massive gtx 122
