Looks wonderful, I cant imagine the time it took to come up with the design. Seems very complcated, nice!

Yeah, getting the volume correct for the dimensions needed for the design spec's took alittle effort, but using SketchUp takes alot of the fuss outta making mistakes to find the volume.

I'm assuming there's going to be a foot of some sort on the side of the enclosure where the sub is? Or are you going to just set the cone flat on the floor? lol
Well, geez, I was just going to let the that side of the enclosure flop around. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

That side will have two supports that can be attached so they don't get damaged or snap off in shipping.

I think you left out a word that significantly alters the meaning of that sentence //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

u gunna have to lift ur seats to do that? cuz i had to raise mine to fit 2 10s under there...and it sounded horrible. lol. so i got a big ass box and threw it on the seat. very nice tho!

I done a more than a few of these type boxes for ex cab truck, no complaints thus far.

Customer is aware he will have to raise the seats for it to fit.

BTW, the design was revised to this:

can you make a dual 10" box. i have a 2002 silverado ext. cab myself and how much would it be?
That depends on the 10's you want to use and what design for enclosure - sealed or ported. Whats name and model are the subs you want to use?

As you are aware, the space under the seats is going to limit the total volume of the enclosure as to whether is it will/will not support the spec's for the design required.

If the design requires more than what is available, your going to have to allow for raising the height of the seats.

The design I did for the Fi Q 12 ported, the height requires for the seats to be lifted 1 1/2" plus, the front of the enclosure extends past the front of the seats by 2" which the customer already knew that may be need for what he wanted.

I'll shoot ya a pm with the cost once I determine the design based on the sub and enclosure you want.

I have looked at several subs. Namely, Elemental Designs, Sound Splinter, Ascendant, Arc, and some others. The thing is I have a Rockford amp, 501bd that I would like to use and it puts out 500 watts x 1 @ 2 ohm. It probably puts out a little more since these amps are underated. So a couple of subs that will handle 200-250 watts each would be good, right?

A sealed enclosure is what I have been told would work best in the limited space under the seat. I don't want raise the seats, just keep it the way it is. The other thing is mounting the amps. I have two, one for the subs and one for the mids. I know space is limited but I don't want to mount directly on my back wall by drilling hole into the cabin wall.
