Yeah, that 4runner is going to be sick!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I would like to hear sometime

what size alt cause they have a direct fit 170 for my civic but i can do a sm gm 200 amp alt for almost same price
Not sure what casing it uses exactly but it is not a common one, I contacted all the HO companies about a year ago looking into a HO alt but cheapest I could find was $650 for 200A cause of the casing my alt used. I chose to just put enough of a battery bank to not have to worry about alt. I don't drive around full tilting, and I listen to rock which doesn't have test tones thrown into the 'beats' so not too worried about having to recharge the batteries in 12 seconds and stuff. Though it did handle tones for a VERY long time, took about a minute and a half of a pure 36hz test tone at full tilt to get my voltage to hit 11.8 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif. That was at 1Ω though

well right now i could by both batts and have enough for the 170 amp alt thats a direct fit but if i upgrade down the road im screwed so i figured do a 200 amp alt and just make a custom bracket

what will happen if i do a custom 20 amp gm alt one wire to my existing spot will i see a light or anything

hey tnt let me know when your done with the wmd2s i would like to try 4 of them in a wall

Well my 10's got down pretty good.. Also If you went with a custom 200amp one wire I'd try getting a hold of DC Power or Mechman and see if they can do somethin that retains factory plugs so no hazard llights or codes get thrown. I had a hell of a time finding a one wire ho alt that retained factory plugs. But DC Power did a **** good job on mine.

The idea to keep in mind is the actual amperage draw in your application. To run 3k watts in a daily driver you need 2-3 group 31's to handle the load. Your alternator amperage rating is a reference to the the amps it can supply to maintain your battery bank.

Yeah the deka's are nice, I just thing they are some ugly batts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif. Doesn't really matter as long as you can hide them. Batts in spare tire well ftw, except mine doesn't fit big batts so that's not an option for me. I'll stick with PowerMaster from now on most likely, very nice batts, but very expensive too...
Price:performance, I'd definitely go with Deka, NSB, or those C&D batts that are always on here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
Yeah I thought they were ugly too, but I got passed that once I found out how **** well they perform for the price.

As long as these are made I don't think I'll touch another optima or kinetik.

Stinger or NSB would be better than Deka. Then again I also know someone who says they switched from a Powermaster to a Deka and liked it, but I think they just have something against China made batteries. For daily street beating I do not think you would have a complaint against any of the batteries suggested here though, unless you wanted them to last a few years.
