Definition of Old School

You mean you can take them apart and put them back together again? Thats awsome!!! Is that so you can bridge them together or something?
What reson8 said. Purely for aesthetics. I have enough amps and links that some day I plan on building a custom amp rack in my blazer that stretches from the arm rest to the tail gate with one continuous (looking) amplifier.

i'd say old school is just about anything mid 90's and earlier that cost at least $1/watt or more. Back in the day before you could buy 1500 watts for $499. When the majority of high output, great sounding speakers were treated paper/pulp cones and had huge magnets.

basically shit I couldn't afford when I was 16 and drooling over it.

how loud is that?

I once put a powerbass 1500 on it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

It didnt get very loud, it was more of a "SQ" box for people who had Porsche 911's and Corvette's and had absolutely no room for subs.

In the pics, notice the kerf cuts inside the box! And you all thought kerf cutting was new ...pfft! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Id really like to find an old IMPACT 18" sub (the ones with the blue surround) ... that would be some neat oldschoolness right there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

No, a pair of IDW's would be oldschoolness. Or or... a Velodyne. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Or if you aren't into SQ so much, maybe a GZ Nuclear in pristine condition.

NICE! I missed you post, but I run them as well. PA-1, OEQ-1, XV-1. I have a PA-2, OEQ-2, XV-2 setup as well...but I busted my XV-2. I'm trying to find another one...haha, but it can take sometime.

Here is my Punch 150 for mids/highs with XV-1

The other Punch 150 bridged to 1 15" Cerwin Vega VEGA Series subwoofer from 99.

I decided to make this post because when you edit, the thread doesn't move to top.

BTW, sorry about the HUGE pics in the post right before this...but that is how they came out from the show promoters digital cam. Besides you see it all LARGE!

Hands down the best got ****ed definition of old school i have ever read. Hit the nail on the head bro.
