Deck wont turn on....

i had an extra sony cdx s2000 that i loaned a friend, well somehow the ground wire from the harness tore lose and it "went out" as he said.

we disassembled the deck, and i couldnt fit a point of problem.

so i bought a new harness offline, and bought a new OEM harness and tried it on my car, it wouldnt turn on as well.

so im confused on what the issue is..

shouldnt be that complicated.

had that happen to me one time, you most likely shorted out the ground or power wire for the radio. i had to run a wire to my bat and a wire to my fuse box so it still can turn on when i turn the car over. may not be it or it may try it out just use the same ground and run a wire to ur bat and connect the red and yellow together and power it then if it is you gotta have the acc wire connected to the bat so it keeps memory aka your settings at all times and then your power to the fuse block, lol may be the other way around i havent looked in a while under there. but just do the first step and you can see if it still works

nah man, i swapped in my nice pioneer back in, works flawlessly...

it has to be within the HU somehow.

You ever check the fuse on the radio itself???? Just curious?

course. put a new one in. i already trashed it. got it for free, no big deal.
