Hey guys, this is my first post here. Been lurking for a little while and have gotten a lot of good info from this site. Here's the deal:
I had a sweet system in my 04 Ram 1500, had to sell it when gas prices went through the roof a year ago. Haven't had a vehicle worth putting a system in until a few weeks ago. I bought a 97 Blazer four door, and now I've been bitten by the bug again. I just received my two eD kv11.2 and Crystal SSX615's the other day along with an eD 9.4 amp I got a sweet deal on. I've got my SS ref. 500 getting fixed in the shop right now to run the subs. I figure I will be putting 250 and maybe a little more to the subs. They will be in a 2.0 ft3 vented box tuned to 30 Hz. Problem is, the guy at the shop hasn't let me know if he'll be able to fix the amp yet. I've got a good line on an HCCA250R from a buddy of mine in mint condition, but I don't know if he can hold off selling it long enough for me to find out if the SS can be fixed. I really want the **** thing, I love old school amps
. However, I want to know how hard the subs will hit on the SS, and how much harder would they hit on the Orion. I need someone to help me make up my mind... I'm torn. Is this setup going to be good, with either amp, for hard hitting, tight bass? eD recommended the box for the type of music I listen to most (rock, metal, occasional rap), but I wanted to see what you all thought. Also, anyone here ever deal with IndoAudio? I ordered a P880PRS on the fourth of July, and their Ebay store stated they still had 4 in stock. Come to find out, they're backordered, and now I can't get a good timeframe on when they'll be in. The guy keeps saying shortly, and I'm getting pretty pissed!
