i was looking at buying one of these as well. i know there isnt much love for kenwood, but it has good things imo, though my knowledge with head units are slim.

its the best looking deck i have seen

it has time alighnment

digital eqs

has usb and ipod which is what i use

just got my x994 last week. I love it. the only difference between it and the x794 is the different colors and bluetooth, has lots of adjustments and my favorite thing is when i disconnect my hard drive and update it, the deck remembers where it was and plays from the last point. only bad thing is the screen is a little hard to see in direct sunlight, but i still love it
