yeah, i just saw that post.
i think someone else mentioned chad telling them he might have a new sub coming out soon.

i'm not sure though. i talked to him last week and he didn't say anything about it to me.

Chad mentioned something to me today, but I can't go into detail. He asked me to keep it hush hush.

you can't go wrong with IDs. there's a pair of 12"s selling for $160 shipped in the classifieds. that's a deal.

Those IDs are D2s. I'll be running 1000w @ 1 ohm. Those won't handle the power and won't present the right impedence.

As for the Assassin 8s, I don't know how well those hit the lows. As far as I know, subs that small are better suited for midbass.

i just checked and they're D4s... so you can check your wattage @ 4 ohms.

and about the AA 8"s.. i used them for midbass and it sounded okay. played lows with them for a bit and they weren't that bad. maybe cause i only fed them 150watts. i want to sell them now since i have IDQ 8". I think AA 8"s played sub bass better than midbass.

Title says D4, description says D2. Either way, I want to use the wattage I have. I just upgradded my amp for more wattage, so I don't want to step it back. I either want 2 subs that can handle 500w apiece, or I want 1 woofer that can handle 1000w.

How much would 2 DD 2510s or 2512s cost? ANybody know?

i kow the 1000 series are in the 150 range a peice and the 3500 are 350 so i think they are in the 200 range but you cant go wrong with dd i am going with a a dd 3510 in my setup and i think the 3510 has a mounting depth under 7"

What about Cerwin-Vega V-max subs. They look pretty well-made, and woofersetc has them for 119 apiece
