i also do a single 15" set up but with 1200w. i competed in A2 and then upgraded my alt. and got a second bat. so i went to S2. the resonent freq. of my cavalier is 38hz so i always burp at that....i know it seems low but thats what it is everytime i check. i never checked the headrest...only the kick since thats where they judge you at.

would you be louder or quiter at the headrest?

stay with it. BTW at finals last year AS1 highest was a 147...... / AS2 148-149 etc.....you get my point. Better get testing.

A 50A fuse will let more than 50A flow through for a few seconds.

There are a bunch of good writeups about this on littelfuse.com (notice the spelling) It's kinda technical but the graphs show whats up.

i know i just tried a 40 amp fuse with my bd1001 and couldnt get 1 second out of it but i guess those atc fuses ****.

i haven't been to comp for 2 years now...i just saw that fuse rating and not going with the amp rating anymore. more 1200w amp uses an 80a fuse....but even if i went with a 50a, i'd still be in S2....just like i was when they used the amp rating. if your in a class, your best off being at the top of it. if your at the bottom, then i'd try playing with the fue to bump my into the next lowest calss....wouldn't work in my case.

i like to get one comp in this year yet to see whats up...i need a new box since i screwed up and sold my good one.

yea my 1000 watt amp uses a 150 amp fuse:blackeye: the lowest i can use is 50 for as1 and like 90 for as2 as3 well i can run my 150. unless i am mistaken they only do headrest now, no kick.

not bad. my sw8102's do 140+ sealed in a trunk. figured the 15" would be a bit louder. my friends dual 12 l5's in a kicker prefab ported do 141.7 street b in a tiburon

yea but also the headrest is different than sealed on the dash. you deff need another sundown on that DD. it should love 3 grand.
