Decent deal?

I honestly wouldn't go anywhere near that package. I dont have a ton of experience with NVX products other then cables/accessories, but know some younger kids around here that have run their products before; pretty low end IMHO. Hifonics amps are the same story. They arent bad amps, middle of the road. Iv seen many people, even experienced guys run multiple Hifonics amplifiers in a build. They do ok.

Car audio is definitely one of the hobbys where the phrase "you get what you pay for " is extremely relevant.

I feel you/anyone can do better for your budget. Judging by the size and power you are looking into, i highly doubt you'll need to venture into a dual/multiple battery setup. Depending on the type of vehicle you have and other accessories are active, you should be able to get by with barebones electrical, as long as you make solid connections (no electrical tape) and use appropriate size cables for the power being run.

Just look around some more. I wont get into what id suggest, as it is ultimately up to you.

Well im looking in the $300-700 range for sub(s) and an amplifier, big three is done just wondering how big i can go for my buck, and the price range does not need to include enclosure

Get a fu audio 15/18, biggest, loudest, cheapest 18" sub you can get under 200$ Even their 12 puts up good numbers on the termlab in T-fade's tests on other forums and they sound good to according the RTAs. NVX is more of an SQ-ish sub, it looks beefy but they dont get the loudest according to people that run them.

FU Car Audio, fu audio, fu car audio

and a 1000-1500 watt amp to push it. You can go hifonics to fit the budget and it will power it fine as long as the box is good.

my current setup is behind the back seats. im just looking for some more bang im only running 800w to 2 powerbass 12's in a prefab box, looking for more boom
go with the 18 man. Sub up, port back. Loud as fkk compared to what you currently have assuming the box design is proper.
yeah just saw a few pics. It would have to face up, which should still be fine and louder then 12s or 15s, he would still have plenty of airspace and port area.

edit: nvm i saw a different year.

he can do sub up port back.

yeah i only have 2 rows of seats. and the rear seats also fold down. ATM im just looking into sub+mono amp and im finding it hard to figure out what combination to go with and have big i can go.

1200 for sub and a 4 channel should hold up just fine, you have a decent size alt. depending he truck model its anywhere from 105-145A

but yes you MIGHT be able to fit an 18 whats your max height you'd be willing to go?

just went and measured i can go up to 34in wide 40in length(with seats still up) and im comfortable(seeing out my rear window) with 22in tall. so thats about my maximum working area.

yup you can DEFINITELY fit an 18 back there possibly even 2 18s lol. but i think 1 18 on around 1K will do the job for you
