Decent deal?

A 15? If it's anything like its Fi brothers 3.25 is choking it. As for my personal experience having a pair of 12s do a 143 at 36hz on 1000 watts I'm sticking to my opinion.
12 man 12!!!! Its a super high output efficient box, had plenty of subs that got loud in it like a custom mtx 9500, c2 threatcon, the 12 w4 (on 50 watts reciever power) and the type r.

I definatley think im gonna go with the fi ssd 18 looks awesome on 1k
wont touch what hes pushin without a custom box tho. regardles you stuff a 18 in a prefab box and your gunna suffocate it. you want spl or good sound clarity?

if your going for spl id go for 15's or 18's

but if you just listening to music and not wantng to go crazy id go with 12's or even good 10's

ive seen someone with 6 8's sounding bewtter than someone with 4 12's

i got my system on a budget

hifonics 3000d with 2 american bass xr12d4's

subs are 2400 watts a piece 1200 rms

amp will put out 2200 watts rms clean roughly

subs $240 a piece and that amp costed me i think $230

and they slam hard as hell for only running 1200 into them in a mediocre box tuned to 32 htz not tuned to sub

local car audio shop sells prefab 32 hts boxes

for him a single 18 in a custom ported box off a good 1k amp will probably be louder and cleaner and cheaper than your setup. do you have the electrical to power that amp? and a prefab pre tuned 32hz box changes. with 2 subs you get more impedance rise. that amp is a power hog as well. $200 for 3k? yea right id be surprised if your seeing 1500 out of that thing

im not gettin 3k out of it. i know that.

its about 1100 to each at 1 ohm rating.

and there is no way im only gettin 700 watts to each sub. pounds to hard.

I mostly listen to a wide variety of music, but mostly rap, hip hop, a little rock and recently been listening to a lot of decaf, and other songs slowed mostly what i find on youtube that people are demoing with. and as for SQ or SPL I just like the SPL I love crazy loud subs, if i want to listen to the lyrics ill turn it down lol.

Several types of loud. Super low lows with air flow and vibration/ vehicle flex or choking/crushing highs. Which one you like more?

Have you even clampped the amp on an oscilloscope? How do you even know thats clean and that you are getting that much power to make that claim.

I like the lows but my 12's currently dont get that low, so honestly I havent experienced to many lows I live in a small town in montana XD
i think a box tuned 32-35 will give you the best of both worlds... let me tell you listening to decaf and super slowed low music nonstop got boring for me REAL quick. my box tuned to 30hz could only pay lows anything else i lost a lot of output in the higher range. my new box is tuned at 35.
