I just got a orion hcca 12.2. Looking for a box that would perform loud for daily music setup. Would this one work? or is the another from that link that would be louder but clean for a daily music setup?

pulled it from the free box specs link.

You bought A Orion 12.2? As in singular? Call me an idiot for pointing out the obvious, but that box is for 3 10's I believe.

And if your plan was to simply cut out only one hole for the 12.2, sorry, but that wouldn't work either. That box is much too large internal volume wise and has 56 sq. in of port area. Altogether, way to much for a single 12, no matter how beefy. You'd get some weird unloading issues. Just go on the re website and make a quick slot port design, something around 1.25-1.75 cubes with like 25 sq. in of port area tuned to like 35 Hz. That should slam for a daily driver setup.

The box for my lvl. 5 12" was nearly that large and it preformed very well.

I was kinda curious about that because even the orion book said for SPL to use a 2.5cu ft box, so i figured tuning it to 30hz or so and a 3cu ft box would sound pretty loud, but im more of a noob to this and didnt want to screw it up and have to build a new one.

Hope ya find this here just easier to view then through a PM. BTW the cutsheet is a trial and did not put the last piece in which is the second part of the port wall, so make sure you dont forget it. After a few more tips I will buy the real version and no longer have the dumb trial. Port wall b is 12x 14.5 and you can see it in the sketch up pictures.

Box is 2.7cubes, at 36hz.
