Death of a TC Sounds 4hp 18"

i doubt you will punish the sub to the point snoopdan has.
Over 200 burps +using as daily driver is pretty nutty
Thats completely beside the point....the god **** thing caught on fire...thats a serious problem and this guy was lucky he just didn't check on it right before he was going into a store or something and come back to a BBQ'd car.

Blowing up subs is great and all, but if they catch on fire in the process...well thats a tad dangerous, especially considering he was just driving around listening to music.

Sub blows because it fails mechanically = fine

Sub blows because the coil fail = fine

Sub blows because it catches on FIRE = not so good

oh a couple of people asked me on AIM what song I was playing to accomplish this feat, well here is the link to it....its Lady Sovereign, its underground british breakbeats....

Well, its reconed....lol. I took the lazy way out, I had some 5200 / PA hybrid top assemblies made up by TEEE CEE. See, originally I paid TC Sounds for a NEO sub, but as you all see they were incapable of sending me the right sub, so I just said "look just send me some new top plates for my 4hp", thinking they couldnt possibly screw that up at least.

Anyways, now you know some history, here is pics of the unscrewing of the basket. I had to screw the basket down to a table upside down to get some leverage on it.

so its all together now, sitting in a cardboard box in the basement. I have to re-resin the interior of my box again due to the fire so it will be a few days before I can get this back in.

Well for my temporary setup until I get my burnt box fixed, I needed some solid bass.

So I grabbed a 12" Stereo Integrity Magnum D2 off the inventory shelf and threw it in my 12" test box and hooked up a Adassa Warlord to it. Hmm, 5kw on one magnum......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif
