DD2512 help

Alright guys I need some help here. I had my friend here in town install my car audio, but after it got done it was nothing like I expected. My DD2512 sounds like a Kicker comp. lol.

The install included a Ed Nine.1 amp, a DD2512 and a 2cu ft ported box. I am running it to the stock radio, but we wired it with a rca converter box to my speakers because I did not want to change my radio out. I am very unhappy with it. It sounds like my Jeep Wrangler that has two kicker comp 10's in a sealed box, it might be quieter than that. I expected it to be way louder than it is.

Any ideas to what can be the deal?

Idk, the box is pretty solid. I thought maybe it could be because we used the speaker rca converter. But what ever it is it makes this dd sound like any other 12 I've heard.

probably tapped onto a speaker that had the low bass cut from it or you just tuned the box too low or too high. dd likes higher tuned boxes though

I looked at the sub again, and its as if the sub isn't even moving. To get the sub to even move the gain and amp has to be cranked almost to the max. Im not sure what could be wrong. It sounds like im running 50 watts to the sub lol.

show some pics of the box. What speakers did you connect to? What car do you have? How much power is the nine?

Did you check for a reverse politarty on one of the connections?

I honestly wouldn't know what all that means, but the ed nine is like 1200x1, im running it at 2 I believe, the sub is a 4 ohm. It is running to the rear stock speakers. 2002 honda accord. Im not very knowledgable on install stuff, but its 4 gauge wire to it. Circuit breaker under the hood, wired back to rca converter. Ill get pics after work.

P.S I owned a 2510 and I to expected more then it could deliver but thats not the subs fault it was mine as I should have researched alill more before I bought it I just had unrealistic goals for this sub.. Great sub dont get me wrong took 1000+ all day with no issue and got decently loud.
