DD M1B or American bass PH-4000MD

the power difference in-between those two amps is negligible the dd is much more reliable

considering the dd is 1900rms and the ab is like 2500rms and probably overrated

i wouldnt hesitate to swap , you will notice a difference. i had the ph4000md and a dd m1a1 iirc is 1400rms @ 1ohm . and i say imo the american bass will put out more power then the dd you have now. ph4000md ran @ .5 ohm no problems . got a little warm thats all very easy on electrical as well. hope i could help bro

Edit : just noticed the dd is rated at 1900rms @ 1ohm. so the two amps you compared are more then likely going to give you the same results in the end

Ab PH4000- 2000w...and like you say, maybe a touch overrated on that series.

im just saying we recently clamped a pair of the 2500 and they barely made over 1100 so i doubt the 4000 even does 2000 and they are rated for 14.4 where as the dd is rated at 1400w at 1ohm and 11.9v, the 1900w clamp result was for 1ohm and 14.4 so yea dd all the way.

the ab is a solid amp but i would pick their big bro everyday even when comparing subs dd is the original with the best parts
