Right now I have a DD M1B and just looking for some more power, would this even be worth the swap out? any help is greatly appreciated
would love too just dont have that kinna monies //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gifstay dd just bump to the m2a

i wouldnt hesitate to swap , you will notice a difference. i had the ph4000md and a dd m1a1 iirc is 1400rms @ 1ohm . and i say imo the american bass will put out more power then the dd you have now. ph4000md ran @ .5 ohm no problems . got a little warm thats all very easy on electrical as well. hope i could help broRight now I have a DD M1B and just looking for some more power, would this even be worth the swap out? any help is greatly appreciated
the DD is rated at 1200 @11.9volts not 1900rmsi wouldnt hesitate to swap , you will notice a difference. i had the ph4000md and a dd m1a1 iirc is 1400rms @ 1ohm . and i say imo the american bass will put out more power then the dd you have now. ph4000md ran @ .5 ohm no problems . got a little warm thats all very easy on electrical as well. hope i could help bro
Edit : just noticed the dd is rated at 1900rms @ 1ohm. so the two amps you compared are more then likely going to give you the same results in the end
Ab PH4000- 2000w...and like you say, maybe a touch overrated on that series.the power difference in-between those two amps is negligible the dd is much more reliable
considering the dd is 1900rms and the ab is like 2500rms and probably overrated
lol i knw it . someone mentioned above it does 1900 so i thought i was wrong //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif . in that case i would do it and would nt think twice .it does rated and some . .5 it was around 2500rmsthe DD is rated at 1200 @11.9volts not 1900rms
im just saying we recently clamped a pair of the 2500 and they barely made over 1100 so i doubt the 4000 even does 2000 and they are rated for 14.4 where as the dd is rated at 1400w at 1ohm and 11.9v, the 1900w clamp result was for 1ohm and 14.4 so yea dd all the way.lol i knw it . someone mentioned above it does 1900 so i thought i was wrong //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif . in that case i would do it and would nt think twice .it does rated and some . .5 it was around 2500rms
Clamp results D M1bat what load? after rise im right at 1.5ohms
finally we agree on somethingClamp results D M1bVoltage drop: 13.5v
49.1 Volts
45 Amps
49.1 x 45 = 2209 watts
49.1 / 45 = 1.08 ohms

I guess it depends on who clamped..I have seen the lowest of 1900 @ 1ohm and 2 clamp tests claimed 2200 @ 1 ohm...shrugz..take it for what it is, I would stick with the reliability of the DD....now, if we were talking the VFL 150.1, or something like that, well..
