DD got jokes. Must see

Just maybe I can clear up some of the muddy water concerning DD and SQ/AQ. They are separate companies and each company has a different business model. DD is a DEALER based company and DOES NOT sell via the internet nor does it allow it's dealers to do so. SQ/AQ sells only through internet sources. SQ/AQ contracts with DD for shipping, warehouse space and other services as necessary including warranty repairs on both subs and amps. SQ/AQ also leases office space and phone services from DD. This arrangement serves both companies very well and results in substantial savings for both companies.

DD is a full service design and manufacturing company with many years of design and OEM experience. Their products and designs are some of the most copied products in the audio world. Their products and designs are often the benchmarks by which other products in the industry are judged. They spare no expense in the design and manufacturing of their products. Their chief designer is Jassa Langford. They own the tooling for the majority of the parts which go into their products. They produce a full range of speakers, subwoofers and amplifiers as well as a limited range of home audio products. They also do extensive custom designs.

SQ/AQ is not a full service design and manufacturing company like DD. We offer far fewer products and do not do custom work except in limited cases. We sell internet only. We do not have a kid on every block hawking our products nor do we have any intention of establishing a network of dealers through audio shops or stores. We sell only products which are in high demand and move off of the shelves. We sell high quality products at prices everyone can afford; we DO NOT sell cheaply made or shoddy products as many would like you to believe. We do not buy cheap or inferior parts, we buy the best parts money can buy, we DO NOT buy "off the shelf" subs. We design our subs in house and source the parts used in our products. We own the tooling used in many of the parts. We test prototypes in real boxes in real cars and tweak the designs until we are satisfied before putting a sub into production.

We do not design our amplifiers, we do provide the specs we want the amps to produce. We hire the best amplifier engineers and designers to build the amps and they are manufactured in what we believe to be the best buildhouse in South Korea. Our amps are QCed at each step in the production and EACH amp receives a factory "burn in" before shipping. We use the heaviest heatsink available in our amps. We spare no expense in the production of our amps and subs. We don't shoot for a production or retail price. We build the product the best we can make it regardless of production cost and then establish the retail price.

Our business model is designed around internet sales only and very little advertising. Our internet sales only business model eliminates the 40%-60% profit margin that dealer based sales must build in for the dealer. We take that 40%-60% profit margin dealers normally get and give it to our customers in the form of high quality products at affordable pricing. We can afford to build high quality products with the money we save by selling direct to the enduser.

You should go over to caco and tell them your SQ3500v2 is not a 1st gen M4. That would be greatly appriciated DJ. I guess DDs tech support email is not proof enough. And you seem to be in the cleaning up crap mood.

 
Why does DD only sell to dealers and not online?

Also, why do you even bother listing a "retail price" and "savings" on the site if you only sell online, not to dealers that charge a retail price?

We post the MSRP because that's about the price you would pay retail for comparable product.

DD has a well established worldwide dealer network and protects their dealers unlike many other companies.

 
I think you did a good job of it. Might not believe me either.
Do you only custom make for team members?

Spoke to ami and he said his setup is only for him. I would love to pay extra for a better hdc3 or 4.
