DD and SQ share designs, but in reality DD spends a bit more on expanding limits.

SQ has done what they aimed for, budget mid to high end equipment.

They share a address. They are a father/son company.

The only part they share is the baskets. SQ is outsourced, DD is not except the Redlines which still use US soft parts on the 800s.

I messed up and got drawn into a post about DD amps on caco. The experts of caco said the old M4 was the same as the SQ3500v2 even after I posted a reply from DD saying the M4s silver and black used the same chassis which is 3 inches shorter than the 3500. I had one and I know how long they are.
