Well ok, they didn't post that on the forum. Just that a used motor with a serial # AND a picture would be acceptable (assuming because DD won't have any purchase records from that person, thus no proof they bought a DD sub).pics with your name and motor together will be accepted
this come up when me and steve talked 45mins and it was my idea and he said yea it would work kinda like selling on ca.com lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifWell ok, they didn't post that on the forum. great, so what about subs that came out before there were serial numbers or what about the 9500g motor I bought off ebay and sold to a fellow member. I had no proof of purchase and no serial number, yet it was a dd motor with the dd back plate... bah
just seems like a stupid move on there part.... oh well
thats because they are. They are kinda like the Rolls Royce of car audio products.solution: stop using mass produced parts if you don't want people to do this.
That'd be like Scott from RE saying he won't do recones on motors used by other companies that he can do recones for if he wanted...just ratared.
If someone buys a konaki motor with DD soft parts, and the seller says it's all DD, then it the seller's fault. The issue should be resolved through them. DD has this "high and mighty" theology and it's just ridiculous.
they prolly dont make alot of money off reconesI just fail to see the problem with selling recones to whoever wants them...seems like a waste and a loss of business to do otherwise.
lol that worksWhatever, I bought my recones for my Konaki's from Fi, I never intended to buy anything from DD when I originaly bought the Konaki's to recone them.
Would I like to get some DD recones for my Konaki motors, sure, but its not a big deal that they wont sell me a set.
My Fi recones are golden, so I am cool!
They really should have looked really hard and thought twice before they jumped to China to outsource the Audioque stuff. It is the same basic platform as the DD stuff and once it hit China it exploded like a epidemic. Now everybody has that motor, or a variant of it. I guess thats what you get when you sell out.I understand your concern and would think that if you show a dated picture of your dd motor that would be fine.
This move on DD's part is to prevent people from putting their parts on cheap or knock off motors. If you owned a company and you saw people putting your parts on product that wasn't made by you and then sold it under your product name wouldn't you be unhappy? That's DD's concern and they're trying to protect their name.
Over all it better that they're still trying to doing this because a lot of other subwoofer companies don't offer anything like this at all.
