So would this be considered a sealed tunnel then? This box design has always intruged me.

I built all of them- four were recones and fully built the other 8.
The goal of this build is to play extremely low, as "safe" and "reliable" as possible while also putting up a good score for when he goes to shows every other month or so. To achieve this we went as high as possible with motor and cone, while keeping watt per woofer low and in a sealed environment.

It was designed as a sealed tunnel yes- but at some point it has to be considered a bandpass because of the size of the cabin influencing the drivers and response. Unfortunately i wont even begin to say I can calculate this so instead we will be playing with some variables to influence the response once it is completed.

I've spent plenty of time at DC HQ and am lucky enough to have positive business relations with Mr. Rusty (Bossman) and we drove out and used his facility to do all our building. I'm a bit slow at the building process so it took me from about 7pm to 3am to finish all 8 woofers and four recones.

I know he will peek in here eventually- THANKS BOSS FOR EVERYTHING
