you have to call dc direct , from what i know they change with the options

Hey guys, just trying to make a sub choice. How do the DC's stack up to others? (sundown, DD, RE, ect ect....)

some guys say that they arent as good . but my lvl 4's are still banging away on 3000 + rms daily . they are good subs that like small enclosures

Ok, let me preface this. I'm looking at going with the M4 from DD for an amp more than likely (any suggestions as why is should not, or if there is a better amp in the same power range feel free to suggest it) so that being said, is there a reason to go with the lvl 5's or are lvl 4's just as good?

how many subs are you wanting ,if only 1 sub ,then the lvl 5 if 2 the the lvl 4 or xl

So the lvl 4's can handle 7000 watts? I'm running 16v to whatever i get and my guy that i'm buds with said it'll do close to 7,000 watts rms at 16 volts. I have a 390 amp auxilary alternator @ 16v. With 2 16v auxilary batts.

Just saw that they have an amp (the M4a that's even more power) but i'm thinking there's no real justification in the price difference to go from the m4 to the m4a at 1000 bucks more. What you think?

the lvl 4 subs that i have can take 7k on a burp only not daily .but its still up to your electrical as well.on 7 k you'll need way more than 2 batts to support the power .

Hmm, ok, the guys at DD said having my almost 400 amp alt on only the stereo with 2 batts would be sufficient. But with everything other people always have a different opinion. But yes, it is a daily driver, not a burp system. So i should upgrade to the lvl 5's? I haven't decided on DC at all, am looking at lots of subs, they were just one of the many i'm considering.

yea i understand , but some of the other subs that will take that power ,wont work well in the small box

Um, lol, i won't have a small box. Probably like 10+ cubes for 2 woofers.
