Dc audio subs??

Still trying to figure out what the optimal sealed is for it. I know people recommend ported but I'm limited on space.
The 10" lvl3 works better in ported boxes, where the 12" and 15" work better in sealed. You'll always have lacking low-end with the 10"er in a sealed box.

I think their best selling point is the fraction of price compared to DD
Go to a B&M that has to sell them for a certain price and see what you think...they're every bit as expensive as DD.

I planned on responding to this thread with "DC subs...can be had for cheap if you live far enough away from a dealer." They're good subs, but the direct vs store price disparity still rubs me the wrong way.

LOL, i made a thread about this when the local store started carrying DC. The prices were pretty high, but still lower then DD for comparable models, although I admit, only by about 10-15%. I think the policy is crap as well. Sundown does not do this. If you bunch the LVL3, SA, and 25series together (the 25 may be slightly better then the lvl3 and SA depending on who you talk too, but close nonetheless) you can get the SA from woofersetc. which is an authorized dealer for about 180$. The DC and DD and dealers are more then double
