So im lookin on the net and i seach high output alts for my 1999 for escort theres really not much i can find. this site has 2 for my car a 200 amp one for 200 and a 220 amp one for like 230. any one know anything about them ?it does 105 amps at idle as well. i been looking all over auto zone by me got one for 140 its only 105 amps and i gota give them my old one wich is in great working order. does any one know of a site that will have one for my car its the sedan verison. less then 400 please

My 200 amp alt is from DB Electrical, very good IMO. I never had any issues at all in the past year I have had it. came in a powdercoated black finish also, check the pic in my sig.

I ran my SAZ1500 and SAX100.4 at full tilt and NEVER went below 14.2 volts (over 1200rpms of course). Its a whole new story with 4kw+ though lol.

he got alts? thanks man it say like in bold on there page max reached at 1200 rpm see the thing is i dont see volt drops to low at 1200 . im looking to run 1800 rms to 4 12s i guess thats not a bad amp. they ship fast?

do u have to get a better battery with that alt of can i get away with my motor craft for now? i only have 400 right now

my Db did not put out rated amperage it did keep up voltage but when tested the 200 amp put out about 150. it is a rebuilt alternator that has been wound to put out more but if mechman has new custom housings that fit bigger windings that would be the best. But if you did just want something that fits check your local alternator starter shop the one by me is great.

man i called all of them no one wants to do nothing for me there all a joke. i call a electrcal shop and the guy says call a audio shop then they say call a electrical shop. its bad im like at a loss i wana be able to get the power i need. im not really having any issue only at idle right now. im gona order that alt would i be ok with 1600 rms and with that alt bigger wires? 4 ga

i did i asked him if he can help me out. i think i might get that alt and buy a wire kit not from them walmart has a 4 ga kit i think for 40 bucks or so . u know what its 5ga i should be ok with that right 5 ga ?

Or you could buy direct from their website. They ship fast as well. Only thing I'd change is the fuse holder. Get an ANL holder.

thanks bro that kit will work is that somthing that ebay allways has? cuz im gona order the alt when i get paid in a few days. then i can get that alt in. is it easy to put in. i never did a alt. i wonder what a shop would charge to put it in + wire up grade. i hope they know they gota do a inline fuse near the postive when they run the new wire for me.

they been around for awhile. i used to see their ad in Auto Sound & security and car audio electronics.
