These will be going in a 2002 GMC Envoy.. Box is 3.0 cuft. Tuned to 30hz with a 12.5" x 3.5" port opening.

Subs will be powered with a Zapco ST-2000XM II or JL RD1500/1 both provide 1500 rms @ 2 ohms.

Progress so far.

Hit a Screw with the router bit when I was doing my cutouts for the subs, had to finish with my $hitty jig saw.. cutouts didn't turn out the best but will grab a new bit for the 2nd baffle.

Nice! Love the sound of these subs. Clean bass, quick response is how I would describe!

I've ran the 10's in PE's recommended enclosure size and they did pretty good, This time I got more room to work with and it will be a SUV instead of a truck so that alone should help.

Made a little more progress..

I ran the 10’s as well in a single cab.

I still got the 10's in my truck, I don't know if it's cause I upped my power and got a new agm or they broke in, Maybe a combination of both but they are sounding pretty nice now.

I've thought about trying a sealed 15" in my truck but I don't know if I could squeeze the box between my buckets, I got some RSS390HE-22's that call for something like 1.3 cuft.

What truck?

That's coming along nicely. I just found most of a sheet of MDF while doing some organizing in my garage, once the weather cools some I'm going to build something just for the sake of building something.

Thank you, That's how I got going on this box found half a sheet of some nice birch 13 ply and the rest is some 7 ply birch from a shelf I took apart lol.

I was wondering if you were going to brace in between the subs 👀.A pair of those 10 are pretty heavy for the size. I still have a Pair of DVC4 HO 10s, Still Stiff as hell. Im keeping those to do a set up in my new shop next year. Im thinking about a Wall type stereo system with those and some 6.5s in enclosures for mids and a few tweets.Looking very Nice. Great find on the Extra wood to utilize.Nice!!

Yes if you look at post #4 there is a brace between the subs, also gonna add a 2nd baffle.
Gonna try to get more done today, haven't had time to mess with it the last two days.

Well finished her up sorta lol..

Messed up the 2nd baffle and didn't have any pieces of ply big enough, so for now it's a single. Tried some new black gel stain and some water based poly and got decent coverage but there is few flaws.

Also threw some Kicker grilles on them too.

Only listened to a couple quick tracks but I'm honestly pretty happy with what I'm hearing. Kicks are super tight and clean with a good thump you can feel in your chest and lows are very present and clean not bloated or muddy in the least..

They Crush the 10w3v2's I was running prior so it was a worthy upgrade.

Man Looks Badd Azz for sure!! If you notice any issues with the subs hitting the grills.. You can get a small bag of washers and use like 3-4 to move the grills out a bit on ea Screw. I had do that a couple times with some subs using protective grills. Have you tried turning those subs up port Up in there yet?/ It sounded and performed better in my old CRV. Looks Awesome though man.Nice!!
