well I agree, to a degree. But Tommy and I talked via PM's and I pointed out well more than I would post in the public.I do not ask anyone to lie about anything, nor hold silent about anything. I do not ask anyone, nor tell anyone what/when/how to say anything. He voiced his opinion, as well as the other team mebers, voiced theirs.

But after I spoke with tommy about what I perceive it as, he totally understood, or at least, I hope he did.

Comments over the time frame, have been more than just this one post, or forum. hence, why I finally spoke up.

product wars will always be on public forums, as well as personal favorites, part of the game.

But like I said, i prefer not to go into grave detail, as it is a public forum, but what i told him, I still stand behind.

now as far as the other guys, they said what they felt personally. And as much as I hate to say it, but I agree with a huge portion of it. But being the team leader, I can't always make everone happy with my opinions, or considerations I deem necessary to make this team maintain the levels I desire.

I definitely understood where you are coming from, but I hope that you understand where I'm coming from as well.

For teammates of mine to come in here and say I somehow "bashed" the CVX is just outrageous. I gave my opinion on the situation and what sub I thought would produce the results that the thread starter was looking for. How that somehow turned in to a tommy k bashing thread or a "tommy hates CVX's" thread is beyond me.

If people don't think I'm a team supporter, then they haven't seen me at shows or on other forums. I'll always support kicker products to the death because they have shown a vast amount of support for myself and my teammates. But that's how things always go. People are quick to point out when you do something bad but glance away when you do something good.

I'm just hoping that nobody else misunderstands my viewpoints from now on, because I would hate to see another thread like this sprout up, or for tracy to receive any more emails questioning my support of the team.

I agree. Sometimes in these situations it is better to not say anything at all.
It doesn't look very good for yourself or Team Kicker when you have Team Kicker all in your sig and you bash on a Kicker sub.

Nobody is aksing you to lie or give falso opinions, but when you've got a manufacturer backing you and you have nothing nice to say about one of their products, it is honestly better to say nothing at all.

I thought the point of team kicker was just to put up good numbers and not to try and get people on here to buy kicker(which will more than likely be from an unauthorized dealer). This is why I thought they left mark and sblazer on the team so long.

Oh, I do, maybe Carltons 'bash' term was used maybe a tad loosly. I don't know. But on any car audio forum, any team member can see what the others are doing and saying. True, you can do 100 goods, but one bad can kill ya. Tell ya what, if you feel 'X' woofer is better, by all means I cannot say anything. Like I said earlier, it's your God given right to say what you want. All my PM was intended for good, as I hope it was accepted that way.

It was accepted that way.

Sometimes I can come off a bit harsh or unpolished, but I mean no harm by it. I would hate for people to think that "x" woofer is better than "y" without hearing the opinions of someone who has used both woofers.

But then again, with all the equipment out there, and the wide variety of vehicles being used, it is very hard to give a fair and unbiased opinion about one speaker over the other without having to add "in my case" or "in this vehicle". Sometimes it would be better to just not saying anything at all, but it is hard to do that every time.

The team is to compete, period. They are not salemen, well, some are as they are actually workers of a Kicker dealer, or they own the shop, which a majority do indeed own their own shops. So I guess they do sell. but as far as what they are aksed to do, is compete, using what they want, and we'll back them, if the person is worth.

I made the decision to cut Mark and sblazer, for different reasons. Over the last year or so, I have had to make decisions I felt and deemed necessary to keep the team the way I would like it to be. I will probably make decisions in the future that will sadden some too, it's just the position I am in, and was put in with those two guys. Nothing wrong with them, it's just some non publiuc reason's why, I had to make the cut.

I really respect that you are not willing to just shut up and will give your honest opinion no matter what that opinion is.

I'm not wanting to beat this horse any more than it has already been beaten....BUT like I said in an earlier post....

my statement had way more content to it than the word 'bash". But as usual, all anyone wants to focus on is one part of the whole statement.

I am a proud member of Team Kicker, I wouldn't expect anyone to hype up Kicker if they didn't truely feel that way. But the internet is a powerful tool that aids in the selling of many brands. This forum has lots of readers that nobody even sees. It is an honor to be one of the few accepted on Team Kicker, and sometimes we all need to think about the 'BIG' picture. How does it make Kicker look when a Team Kicker guy suggests another product over Kicker to the common reader?

That's all I was trying to say. If you can't get past the word 'bash' and understand where I was coming from, then you obviously need to stop being so close minded.

How does it make Kicker look when a Team Kicker guy suggests another product over Kicker to the common reader?

But therein lies the problem. What if I have tested both subs in question, one of them being kicker, and one of them not, and the competitor's sub performed better in the tests I have ran?

What do I say then? I'm actually looking for insight here, a solution to this problem. You could go to the old "oh well, in MY CAR, so and so's did better but in your car I wouldn't know", but if everyone always did that then we would never have a definitive answer for any debate ever.

Don't take this as a cheap shot towards you or anything. Do I just not say anything? Wouldn't the people reading expect a kicker sponsored guy to say something about the kicker product in question?

It's almost a d*mned if you do, d*mned if you don't situation. Either I don't post anything and people may think that I'm holding something back, or I post MY OPINION and people think that I'm taking this sponsorship for granted or that I don't believe in the products or something(which is HARDLY the case).

An even worse situation that I can think of is if somebody came up to me at a show asking the very same question. Do I tell them what my opinion is? Do I say "i don't know" and avoid the question all together? At least I posted my opinion on here. Imagine the crap I would have gotten if I told someone to get a type-r over the CVX at a show and then that person came on here posting about it.
