CVR Box Decisions

Hello, I have two Kicker 12" CVR's that I was wondering if it would be better to put them in a sealed box or a ported box. I was thinking sealed because I am going to sound quality instead of SPL, but I have had someone tell me that they got better quality out of their CVR's in a ported box. So I was wondering if anyone on here has heard a pair of CVR's in both a properly built sealed and ported box, and which one gets better sound quality.

I would definatley go with ported for the output. I've had my CVR12's in both and prefer the ported design for the additional spl. This is not to say that the CVR's cant work in the sealed, its just that a properly designed ported, will have the same punchyness(sp) as a similar sealed design, but with the additional output with the same wattage.
