cutting techflex

i thought scissors would work gl thow you might wont to wrap black tape around it before you cut to prevent it form fraying

scissors work fine, the ends just start coming apart.

Not sure what parts express uses but their edges hold together

now are you talking about cutting your wire or just removing the jacket?

if your removing the jacket all you really need is a razor blade and a steady hand. if you need to cut the wire just use a knife with a shit load of teeth. like a steak knife.

use a cigar cutter, or cable cutters

I'm pretty sure cutting isn't his problem, but the frayed end of the techflex is.

When you cut that stuff you have to use a hot knife so the end melts together and doesn't fray.

Or if you don't have access to that you could always get a piece of heatshrink tubing and put that over the frayed end.

if you own a solder iron or torch many have atttachment hot knife pieces

no need for a hot knife simply a sharp razor knife....all ive ever used and never have a problem with fray.

simply tightly wrap a small piece of tape around up to the edge of where i wish to cut and then use the razor and follow with a piece of heat shrink
