cut outs for 6'' aero ports

i heard you can use a drill bit for the cut outs of a aero port but what size is it? a size 6???? in drill bit.

me neither a guy over at smd i think did it. he said he wouldnt recomend it cuz it burnt up his drill but it works.

They have them that size but they're pretty much just for using on a drill press.

a jigsaw would cost about as much as a hole saw that big.

you can buy hole saws as big as 12" but they cst a crap load, you seriously would be much better off getting a small router and jig or jig saw.

Its called a hole saw... a nice set ISNT cheap.. I paid over 200 for my hole saw's.... Dont you have a sabre saw or jig saw available to you?

my cutouts were 8.5" for 6" aeros. Used a jasper jig and plunge router.

jasper jig + plunge router > hole saw, getting a drill to turn a hole saw that large isnt fun

Measure the size of the inner flare and that will be your cutout size

and you'd have to buy one bigger than 6 inches, because of the flares on the aeroports
