okay so i posted a couple weeks about trading my L7 for 2 12" elemental design subs (e12k's). i ended up doing the trade and didn't like the sound of the subs. i removed all of the soft parts and now i'm wondering what to do. i'd like to recone it but i'm not sure what to use for soft parts. hispls recommended using sa-12 soft parts and that would be great. basically, my question is, has anyone here had the same basket and motor and had good luck with reconing it with another companies soft parts?

here are the measurements so you can get an idea of the dimensions of what i have to work with:

was an elemental design e12k

had a dual 4 ohm voice coil

12 spoke basket (feels like aluminum)

double stacked magnet

surround diameter: 12"

spider diameter: 8"

voice coil diameter: 2.5"

voice coil length: 1 3/8"

whole voice coil piece: 3 3/16"

2.5" from bottom of voice coil to spider

2" from spider to top of basket

i also found more specs here:

i have 2 of these and i would really like to do something interesting with them so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

google ed e12k and you will see what i have, sorry i couldn't add pictures

yeah i know psi sells recone kits but idk what fits and what doesn't. it seems like it's a pretty easy recone, not like i have weird dimensions but still. i'd like to do something interesting with them
