Something I did with the rear deck glass project I'm in the middle of right now that saved me a lot of time is to go to a plastic/body shop and get a bucket of "profil"

Bondo is great for some things, but sometimes it's too thick, and won't fill really small imperfections unless you work it a lot.

I usually go with a thick (1/4") layer of duraglass. Sand it as smooth as possible with 40 grit roloc wheels. Then ice it with a coat of filler over everything. Knock down any ridges left by the spreader the second it starts turning rubbery. Then sand away, not carrying about sanding through the filler as long as everything is even and smooth. Touch up any pinholes with a few coats of high build primer. Sand that smooth , maybe another coat of regular epoxy primer. Sand it smooth , then shoot it with a coat of primer sealer , and paint it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
