CSS SDX15 vs TC SOUNDS TC3k 15

I'm thinking about changing my system. I currently have a TC3k 15 running off of a Kenwood Excelon 401m getting about 800rms. It is quite loud and sounds pretty good. However I am thinking about getting a Rockford 25 to life 5 channel which puts out about 900rms into a 1ohm load. I'm looking for SQ with lots of output. Box will be about 2.5 sealed. I'm wondering if I will see much of a difference in output or SQ from switching from the TC3k to a CCS SDX15. The numbers for the two drivers are similar in the fact that they can handle about the same power, work in similar sized enclosures, and have the same Xmax capability. Anyone out there have experience with both drivers? The last SQ sub I had(and really loved) was an Audiomobile Mass series...I would love to find a single 15 that can match that kind of SQ from 800-1000rms and under 3cubes sealed. Thanks folks.

since you got the sub, upgrade with some more power and see if you like it.
That was my initial thought as well...the amp I have is a Kenwood x401m, and anyone who has used this amp knows what it can do(provided it has a stout electrical circuit). The sub is the first generation 3k. So this one is only rated at 1krms, it is the quad-coil, running series/parallel down to 1.2ohms dcr, about 1.5ohms nominal. The Rockford "specs" out to be a stronger amp, at 800rms @ 1ohm load. The Kenwood states 600rms @ 2ohms......both amps' specs taken @ 14.4v. I have replaced the 15a(x4) fuses in the amp to 25a...kept blowing the 20s and 15s. The amp loves it. So I'm not sure how much more/less power I'll be getting from the Rockford.

The reason I might want the Rockford would be for the crossovers on the front 4 channels....up to 4kz high/low...perfect amp for a moderate powered, actively crossed SQ system...

Just wondering what sub might be a better fit for the goal.

Also have a TC Sounds Eclipse prototype 12...OEM 12 with aluminum 2piece cone(SoundSplinter RL-s). Was thinking about asking if Robot Underground could whip me up some passive radiators to match the 12...but after having a nice 15, the 12 and passives might not cut it.

Anyone...any thoughts/suggestions?
