AQ SDC2.5 or CVX or L7???

Orig I planned on going with 4 12' type R's. buying them 2 at a time. purchased 2 for $250 on ebay about 3weeks ago. UPS lost my package(stole) so they are paying me $300. i am sort of happy they did lose it b/c now i will have a lil more money for a better set up. Im shooting for SPL. what subs to go with about $520 on tap either 4 12's sealed or 2 12's/15's ported. either GP3000 or an audioque amp to power the sub. Whats the best if i wanna do 4 12's sealed. what the best if i wanna do 2 12's/15's ported?

Go ported. Look into RE SE's(get em in pairs on Ebayd for like 280) or go with the AQ's. I personally hate how L7's sound.

AQ are quite cheaper than any of the kicker subs.... small note there is a lil competition going on with my brother who has 4 12' T1's on a power acoustic amp (lol) i have to be louder than him.. ( he works at a pawn shop and catches good deals from time to time) Im serious guys I leave for deployment on Monday.. purchasing my system piece by piece in sections..

Last deployment was almost exactly a year ago. and I was a SUPER newb asking these same type of questions, ended up going with 12' CVR's and a hifonics amp. I'm trying to get better and better with time and this is gonna be my first real "deal" Thanks for the help

if you want to go for spl go with 2 15's ported.

2 sdc2.5 15's on 1800-2k watts, 8-8.5 cubes tuned to 38hz should do it

aqs like to be tuned high, mlstrass is running 2 hdc3 15's in 8.5 cubes at 38hz and metered 147db @ 31hz, my hdc12 is in 2cubes at 38hz and kills the lows.

questions that should be asked is, how much room (box size) do you have to work with.

amount of power you have to supply to the subs

I think I can go 49" W x 15" H x 19" D with a standard rectangular box. The 2 amps i narrowed it down to Is a GP3000 or AQ2200. Like i said before I have about $500 to spend on 4 subs or 2 subs. SDC2.5, CVX or L7 are the subs I had in mind. open to other options. This is a daily setup. want it to be loud though

get 2 sdc2.5 15's in 8.5 cubes at 38hz, the buy either an aq1200, or something like a bxi1608, i'd say a 2200 or a 2000 or something that puts out over 800w per sub but with all do respect you seem kinda new and i'd be worried about you blowing them with much more than RMS. wait and buy to the new sundown Z15's they tested at something over 148dbs in 6cubes net on a single saz1500

Don't have room for 15's, so I'd do 12" SDC's. Shouldn't have any problems with the lows if tuned to 38Hz unless the box is way on the small side...
