CRX type box???

I have a 1996 GMC Jimmy with a 9.5^3 box after displacement. I've decided to go with round aero ports for 2 15" L7's. I was wondering if 4, 3 inch ports would be ok?

Also, I wanted to know if the subs facing up and ports facing the rear would be the best for all out SPL. Would the subs AND ports facing the rear yeild better SPL? I would also have the option of firing the subs rear and ports up. Which of the 3 would be the best?

You are planning on using ~2.974 sq. in. of port per cubic foot of vb... I'm going to go ahead and say that this is NOT NEARLY enough.

The least port area I'll use for a music or output enclosure is 7sq in / cu. ft.

It really depends on the power & tuning as well.

4 round 4" ports have more area than 6 3 inch ports the formula is radius squared times pi
