Crossovers set at amps, hu, or both?

I've been trying to fine tune my system and just wondering how everyone sets their crossovers. At the amps? At the hu? Or both? If you set at the hu, it would seem pointless to set at the amp too? In home audio there is a big debate on double filtering creating a dead zone at certain frequencies when setting both crossovers....thoughts?

same thing applies to car audio. pick the best one and go with that. personally i use the hu.

That is how I set have mine set as well, think it's the best choice, def. more precise.
