Hey all, new dorm sub design. It's the 12" Dayton RS sub (HF version). Tell me what you think. I know some of you own this particular driver, so let me know if this looks good to you:

never owned but its tuned to high for either music or movie viewing, music I would say about 25 hertz tune and for movie viewing no higher then 20 hertz tuning.

Here is the predict response from your box. down about 7 dbs at 30 hertz and 10 dbs at 20 hertz but if your not watching movies with it, 20 hertz shouldn't matter to much.

I say go 3.5 cubes and 25 Hertz tunning and you get a much better response for music.

If you like my idea of 3.5 cubes and 25 hertz tunning and need dimensions of the box let me know and ill pm them to you, and if you like the dimensions then ill photoshop your picture to include them.

Note that this goes in a dorm room. I have to fit this under my desk, and 3.5 cubes will not fit unless I want to keep my feet under my chair all the time.

Also, 1.95cuft at 20 Hz give you about -8dB at 20Hz and + .5 dB @ 60 Hz... -3 @ 26 Hz...

1-4" port would need to be about 40 inches long and it will displace about .29 cubes by itself. So he could do it just need to bend it a couple of times

I could run it sealed, but this just needs to get loud for right now. When I want true hi-fi sound, it'll have a completely different enclosure (fully braced, no slot port, etc.).
