tonight he did the same walk on water trick but he did it across lake mead. and like the post above this im pretty sure it probably does have to do with camera tricks but, you seem to have a pretty good idea on how illusionists work. and there has to be more than camera tricks at play here.
I would hope I would have a pretty good idea on how illusionists work since I am one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Mentalism is fun too, you can get just about everyone with this simple psychology trick, but you must ask it in EXACTLY this order otherwise they think too long or think you're ripping them off:
Think of all the numbers between 1 and 50. Then, from those numbers, pick a number with odd different digits. Write it on a piece of paper, fold it up and sit on it. Then you guess their number which is:
37
The only people this doesn't work well on are those too stupid to follow the instructions. The key is to give them what seems like a lot of options, because you reason that you have 50 choices first, then 25. A 1/25 chance is pretty poor for a magician, so this still seems innocent. The second part about different digits doesn't register as being cheap either because you say it quickly then tell them to right it down. The reason why it works is because your mind thinks of 3 as the first odd number instead of one, which also eliminates 31, 35 is too round a number, but
37 seems random. Thus, with 1/8 odds, you can win almost every time. This also works well with women //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
