Kinda want to try these subs up. But I'm hesitant because of the 2.5" coils... Am I wrong to think a 2.5" coil is too small for a 1250 rms rating?

Main reason I like them is recones are $60 and fully stocked and the subs are cheap! $260 each for the 15s. I will be doing 4.

Look like crap too me. That's not a good price. Grab some FU 750s for like 120-140 a pop and smile.

so 260 dollars for a 2.5" coil is cheap? Not even sundown bends you over like that. 60 dollar recone should tell you how quality the coil and soft parts are.

I sent a t3000bd to a set of atomic 2.5" coiled drivers for a good while with no ill effects.

Yea I'd even get an HDS15 over that. I want to support crescendo but not when the competition is so stuff.

Since the being yes.. Mate has a v1 15 on a gp3k for over 3 years and still going strong.

The rms rating is 1k and I wouldn't hesitate to throw 1k to a 2.5" coil. It'll take that all day everyday.

edit: read the description and it appears to be 1250.

And recone price isn't a judge of quality. The SA Ultra recones are ~$60 aswell and we all know how they do

For the price, I'd go with FU Audio or SQ HDC's tho. 260 is a bit steep

I have been planning on 4 hdc3 15s and its still what I most likely am going with. Just trying to be different. Thinking about 8 HDS3 12s as well.

750 rms is not enough. Need 1500 rms to 2000 rms subs.

SA 15 $260 Rated 600 watts and 2.5" coils. Not enough for me. So jump up to an X 15. 1500 RMS and 3" coil. Perfect.. But $500 each.. So yes Sundown does bend you over like that.
