Best bang for buck sub on 750w rms?

Been out of the loop for a while, friend has a blown Alpine type R 12" on a Memphis 750w at 2ohm rms amp

https://www.memphiscaraudio.com/products/amplifiers/street-reference-amplifiers/16srx1750d/

It's in a tiny box, 1.1ft3 ported box, so I'm going to build him a proper box in the 2-ish ft3 range (whatever the sub we get calls for of course)

It's going in a 2010 Acura TSX, definitely going ported, want to be as loud a possible with his 750w rms, but he doesn't want to go with a 15", gotta stay 12".

I was considering maybe goin with a solo baric l7, or maybe just another alpine type R. I know the square sub would have much more displacement, but not sure how much louder it would be. I know the Alpine is a sub that would have better SQ, but I personally loved my old L7 15" on 1,400w rms (love that voice coil glue smell) lol.

Open to other options just trying to figure out what would be best bang for buck. Looking at $200-$220 or so for the alpine or kicker, cheaper would be nice but that price range is good for him....

B2 is v3, sundown sa, sq hds300, SSA gcon, fi x, ab xfl...lots of Subs in your price range. For 750w and seeking maximum output, I'd be looking at a 2.5" coil (some I listed are 3")....For my money, give me a Sundown SA

Fu audio 750
Never heard of them, the specs look nice, but 1-2 week build time plus 5-7 days to ship is a bit long to wait, trying to get one delivered by sat/monday hopefully (I'm going to build his enclosure Saturday)

Thanks for recommendations, going to check them out/do a little research!

Yeah I was goin to do a 12", thought he already purchased it, but instead we are going 15" after measuring space, any way, how much port area is recommended? 45 sq in?

FU 750 15.. Your Memphis will wrk well with it. Then if later own put her own a bigger amp. Can't go wild with a 2.5" coil but if given a clean signal which should be done no matter the power ur sending 1200 watts daily would be no worry. $170 just not any subs that compare and stay in line on price.

Well someone's gonna say SQ300... The SQ does have a 3" coil rather than a 2.5" so in theory should handle more power. Key word in sentence is SHOULD handle more. Wouldn't even sleep on the choice FU an it's 2.5" coil..

The FU's look great, but we aren't trying to wait for a build time. Time is money, I'd rather spend more than wait around personally. He was trying to source a sub locally today, but I talked him out of buying the wrong ohm sub and instead going with a SA 15" which has just been ordered. Now building the box
