Creepy Install on a V6 Eclipse...

A penny wont blow a fuse, a penny is meant to replace the fuse. It will allow current to pass through it unobstructed. Replacing the penny with a fuse would not restore power. That, plus touching the door sends mysterious current through her subs...? I think you just lost control of the project.

there was a penny chilling in the power socket, shorting it out.

Ah I see. My comment about the mystery current in the speaker still stands though. Thats an impossible situation that clearly means there is an issue to deal with the installer has not considered. The OP should be tracking down the problem right now, not typing about it to his buddies on the net. *shrug*
Its amazing how many of these mystery install problems originate from BB or CC. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i dont work when im not not he clock.

If you do an install isn't it supposed to work properly when it leaves the shop? Not just "oh your subs pop a little when the door closes deal with it!"What kind of service is that????
1) she said she had to leave to get her kid from school

2) her clutch was completly shot its still at best buy.

3) it was not my appiotment. ( inloiny helped)

4) i only ran the power lead-wired in the renmote turn on wire behind the radio and removed the pass side seat.

5) nothing I did could have caused that.

6) maybe its the ground -> i didnt check it yet.

7)im sure the car will still be there when i cklock in for work at 12noon on friday

You missed the point. You sent this install out, with that problem, multiple times. You were 'on the clock' then were you not?
Taking your vehicle to BestBuy for a radio install, only to return and have them say your cart is now messed up an needs to go to the dealer... is one of those horror situations you hear about. You dont even seem to be aware that you caused it.

bestbuy ftw!!
haha

it could have happend any where.

this Car was POS

the electrical system was all ****ed up to begin with.

what i didnt state in the first thread was

- i personally didnt tjhink it was a good idea to work on this car but my manager said do it any way so we did.

and she agreed to use that the car is a POS and shes taking it back to the dealer.

you obviously cant read...

1) not a radio install

2) the radio was not turning on when it FIRST came to us ( not stated in first post)

3) she HAD to leave the first time to get the code from the dealer

3a) it came with no working radio ( not BBY problem)

4) she came back later with in 2 hrs to only leave with in 10 min because her daughter had to be picked up from school.

5) i did not :let it go: she "took it"

try readin the WHOLE story next time

I unfortunatley had to go the the local best buy for an antenna adapter in a pinch last week. It seemed as if a lot of the employees in the mobile electronics dept. didn't work while they were ON the clock either...
yes that is VERY unfornate

we as mobile electronic employes get "shitted" on a lot by managment

they are slowly taking our hours and trying to get rid of us...

dont take it personally,

plus MOST M.E. employes wouldnt be able to help you any way... BBY just stick random kids in the depart. no special training ness.

the knowlegable kids go to H.T and computers

its sad i know
