Crazy over high wattage amps!

i have a crossfire 1000d and it is right in that power range. I am not selling mine but you can find them used fairly often. there was one on here a few weeks ago for 260

nevermind wrong ohms

Anyone have bench test results on the Sundownz SAE 1000D, SAZ? 1500D or the AudioQue amps? QUOTE]
Guess not...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Do these companies provide birth sheets when you buy them new? or only certain companies?
doing some research with the "search" button would provide that info for you. Sundowns are solid amps that deliver what they promise. there has never been any speculation about that.

In addition, what kind of price range are you attempting to stay in? there are a shit ton of amps that put out great power at a price per watt ratio thats more than acceptable.

maybe? what kind of electrical did you have, and what were you expecting?
I was expecting equal or more power than my Concept CC-D1200 was outputting. My electrical was fine but the amp just didn't put out good power unless the gain was very very high. When I set the gain with my DMM the gain only needed to be set at a third or so, but it didn't produce good power.

I know they are good amps but my personal experience with them has not been good.

Thanks for the link.

I know the "Search" button is out there, but when doing a search for something that has twice as many garbage threads as informative ones, sometimes you just want a point in the right direction.

This thread was for information but at the same time for conversation about something that I notice in car audio. If everyone only used the search button what would the forum be?

i had this same problem. these don't seem to put out until the gain is way up.

for 300.00 you should be able to get a kicker 750.1. birth sheet says 924 watts rms. very solid amp.
Not to poop on your thread op.

This is irrelevant, imo.

In your car, there are so many different variables when an amp is running in your car.

Saying xxx rms is silly.

It seems everyone is either putting 3000+ watts in their vehicles or like the thought of putting 3000+ watts of power in their vehicles.
It also seems that there are fewer car audio competitions out there and the local dealers are getting less customers. (At least here in Hampton/Newport News).

So if there are less comps but people doing bigger power, whats it for?

Getting to the point....I've been looking for a decent amp to put out between 1K-1.2K @ 2ohms. My search always brings up 3000D or 4000D type amps.

What are some good, resonable priced, 2k or less amps?

Oh yeah...Its alot of overrated 1K - 1.5Ks out there now. More than in the past anyway.
I think you're just getting old. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif
