no, thats not the cause of it either.

that would most defenetly creat a cancelation of sound. more like instant cancelation.

It would be fine actually. You're talking sub bass. The basic way that you get sound at those freqs is pressurizing and rarifying the air in the cabin. The direction that the subs are pointing has nothing to do with that. This is basically the same as having subs facing each other from opposite sides of the trunk.

Agreed with previous two posts.

Cancellation at the frequencies we are talking is a moot point. The wavelengths are too long compared to the relatively short distances between the subwoofers.

I think it would work fine, jw what were you thinking of doing with that type of setup?
