you can find deals for a 99 civic. they are pretty indestructible. parts are cheap too.

my car is 18 years old and I haven't had a problem yet besides a partially clogged fuel filter and bad spark plugs. thats just routine maintenance anyway. the age of a car doesn't matter, the quality of the car and how well you take care of it is what matters //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

of course, thats only common sense. but the other poster made it sound like it needs repair daily. it all depends on how well you take care of it, like anything. his statement was too broad in general and makes no sense

That's difficult, considering they're FWD. And what was done? You'd need a good bit of building a boost to get to 280whp, much less 380.

They're not real good for modding, but if you want a good car, and it's got the V6, then you're in good shape. The 4 cylinder was problematic, but the V6 is one of the first of the Duratec line. The Duratecs have been one of Ford's largest successes. They're pretty potent, 164hp, and they're cheap to maintain, and very reliable. The ****** will be the weak link, but as long as you drive like a reasonable adult, and not a drunken 13 year old, then you should be fine. That being said, most of the people on this board would have a blown ****** inside of a week. That sounds dirty. In all reality, if you like the car, and it's in good shape, then go for it. **** the haters.

Well, I went to check out the car and the door panels were falling apart... it drove like shit. I didn't get it... Probe is a gay name for a car anyways. "Wanna ride my anal probe, eh?" I've been looking for a Honda Civic or CRX but can't find any around here for less than 3 G's, unless its got 250,000 miles on it.
