that's a good price for a decent lawyer. people need to guage when to use that much money on a good lawyer. i got caught selling weed twice in a month (caught selling while on bond for selling). i spent 12,000 on an attorney. sentenced to 7.5 years. waste of money. probably would have got an even 8 with a pubic pretender.I did two weeks but that was because of a violation after i had been on probation.
My lawyer was about $2500, but that was because he's like #1 on my speed dial. I think my family and I have went to him a few times or so. Expect somewhere in that range for a lawyer worth anything.
expect at least $2500 +. thats what i paid for mine with lesser charges.
Total my court costs and fees I encountered through the terms of my probation equated out to ~$2500-3000. In my case I opted not to get a lawyer since I figured whatever would get knocked off I would pay the lawyer for, and I would have spent even more money if I got one.I did two weeks but that was because of a violation after i had been on probation.

Who butchers that one? You're right, the pretender could have been in his sleep and got a better sentence. Those guys know how to handle serious $ and scare people into settling cases...the attorney/attorneys I work for know how to scare crackheads into paying their legal fees and getting suspended sentences instead of prison.I wish I had an attorney in my pocket like that one^^^ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
The three attorneys I work for mainly handle defense litigation with large corporations, mostly motor home cases, so I dont think they would ever be able to handle a case if I was to get involved in something.
However, they have all the advice in the world //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

if ur in undergrad still and work at a firm ur doin well. I do basically all of that + collect fees, interview clients on simple stuff where the attorney is not required to really say much (tickets for example), run to the court house to attempt to collect discovery on felonies when the courier forgets to, occasional emergency filing in the court house, and do a whole lot of reading forums when its slow. Wish I could do more but legally I cannot until I pass the bar.LOL, what do you do at your firm?
