Hey everyone, i have a couple questions.
1. How do you properly seal a 6.5 component speaker to the door? My car (08 ford focus sedan) has 6x8 speaker openings. I made my own adapters out of mdf then added thick weather stripping foam between the door and the adapter, the adapter and the speaker, and the speaker and the door panel. Screwed everything down tight and what not but for some reason i am still getting a lot of cancellation and rattling on mid-bass notes.
2. My amp seems to be clipping all the time. Like i have the gain just past quarter way up and i still seem to be getting clipping/distortion with HU volume on 35/50. Everything is wired right (got the approval of this site.) good ground good RCA's from HU everything but it sounds like it still like...constantly sends out a clipped signal. Got the amp used could it be damaged or something?
My setup: ID CTX 6.5c's on a kicker zx550.2.
