Well I spoke to RE today and was dumbfounded a little. I was told the my 1st gen md3d were not very efficient which is why they remade the model plus they don't like being run in a master/slave configuration. I was also told that if I changed amps either to there usx models or any other top line company..i.e. sundown or dcsoundlabs I would gain about 30% in efficiency. Right NOW i DROP TO 12.2v-12.0v on a long bass note with my Iasca db cds. Before I get bashed I haven't finished my electrical. So now I am stuck re-designing my whole amp setup lol. I don't know weather to get the new usx line from re ( I get really good pricing on it) or to go with a sundown or dc amp setup. either way I like to try and keep as much uniformity as possible so if I change 1 I change them all so then I have to sell what I have. what your opinions?

lol he didn't say they are better than us nice try I now sundown and dc are well built amps he said compared to there old models(the ones I have) that all new amps including there own and all others are much better and more efficient just because of technology changes. and the original series of mds were supper power hungry and inefficient

again sorry if I miss lead in my first statement

that ok at least there usx line has to still be somewhat ok. I can get 2 USX 65KV.1 amps for $813 no shipping no nothing each one is so posed to do 2200rms at 1 ohm if I get 2k rms at 1ohm that's still 4k rms at 1 ohm for $813 that's not bad. its just a special I can get 2 for because they know how many people come to me here locally and I have bought alot from them.If you know of an amp better than that for that price range let me know

You can get a 3500w AudioQue for that price... or a used Sundown 3500 or a used DC 3.5k etc. etc. I wouldnt invest in RE or US amps and **** sure wouldnt pay 900 for 4k of dirty unefficient power.

Q1-3500D.1 Amplifier

will do 4300w @ 1 ohm 14.4v for only $800. I'd say that's pretty **** efficient for a 3500w amplifier.
