I was wondering what you guys would do if you bought a pair of mint subs and one did infact come mint but, the other had a tinsel wire under the sub snapped right in half? What if when you contact the seller they tell you to contact ups or just solder it back and itll be fine? Thanks for your input

was the packaging crappy? if so send i back to the seller. they are the ones that are supposed to file the claim anyway

if u want o fix the tinsel lead it isn't hard, u'll just need a soldering iron

**** that, you paid for a mint sub and that is not what you got. Even if it is an easy fix like was said that is despite the point, give the seller to give you 20% of what you paid for one of the subs because you did not receive a mint sub.

That will not happen in shipping unless the UPS man installed it bumped it on the way to delivering it.

After reading about the tinsels, i large clicked the pics and they do look a little toasty.

The packaging was actually good. The sub has no other noticable marks to indicate the sub had beed tossed around.the box he used to ship it was also not damaged.I did a search and people on here stated if you solder it right in the middle it will just happen again.I told him he has to make the claim but, insists That i do it or just solder it.

Yeh, i believe he has to make a claim....and UPS will prolly need that sub

Id just bring it too some place to get it soldered back on, unless its burnt....i cant tell from the pics

DO NOT solder it, you are only going to make the problem worse and give the seller a "out" as you have now modified it from how it was shipped. This did not happen in shipping in any way shape or form. For the cone to move so far and actually rip the tinsel lead from it, imagine what the package would have to look like when it arrived..... sounds like a Mythbusters episode here..... how far would a parcel have to fall to rip a tinsel lead from a sub (and packaged at the same time). You bought a turd from a guy who needs to look after you.

they look burnt :/ and that wouldnt happen during shipping
Yes it actually does look burnt!!! I felt like i did my part paid instantly and got screwed. I took it around to some repair shops and they didnt want to mess with it. I even told him i would split the cost of repairs.

Did you buy on here? Tell the seller there is no way it happened in shipping, for the tinsel to be broken in shipping basket would have to have broken to millions of pieces.

I did buy it on here from some one who has great feedback. Thats why i didnt hesitate on sending him the money instantly.I just dont like that he tells me to talk to ups or to just solder it.I paid for mint subs thats what i should have got.
