Connecting Amp to a Reciever

You are gonna be looking for a set of preouts on the reciever that say "preout front left, preout front right, or the entire group will be labeled as preouts and then just have each channel labeled as left, right etc. Please note that not all recievers have preouts. Anyway if you have preouts than they will run to the back of the amp where is states "Inputs"

a question related to this:

im recently redoing my home theater and am going to be using a 72 inch DLP TV, a HD DVD Player, PS3, 360, and a DENON AVR Reciever (to name a few).

but if i get an amp for the speakers, how does this affect dolby digital or any of the methods they have for equalizing the music internally?

oh thats good to know because now i can get 2 or so amps. I wouldnt need one for the sub because it has one built in i believe. What ones do you reccomend? CROWN?
