ok ive been wondering for along time and i finally have the money to buy the subs what is better the mtx 8000 12 or the alpine type r 12 ill be getting 2 of em which should i get i wana shake stuff lol

I was checking out the mtx's and I didnt really like them much. They were loud, but if your going for sq imo I don't like them. They probably sound better with a good amp. The guys I heard had a cheap amp hooked up to them.

Character of subs:

MTX-->SPL

Alpine-->more like SQ

depends on what amps are you using..if you get the big amps it's better to choose MTX one.But if you use the small amps that's not a good idea to take MTX.

But I suggest it's better for you to try Rockford Fosgate....I think you would like the character..

i think im going to go with the mtx found a deal 225 shipped from a respected site //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif no sleazy ebayers lol (ive been screwed on ebay before) the only problem is you said only get mtx if you ahve enough power well im going to get a lanzar vibe it will pump 500w rms into each sub but i dont if lanzar is a bad company and rate there stuff shitty

if you get the 8000s, you'll be vibratin like petey pablo (louder). the type rs can get loud, but theyre much cleaner. if u want just hilariously loud, get 2 l5s instead for the same $$$. ask ricktc about they potential hehe.
